I'm sorry! I said it would be the last time, but I decided to go back to Substack. MailPoet is good, but Substack keep making cool features, and I want to use that with you, my friend.
It’s been a while since I created a newsletter, and I was going through burnout and needed a break. I have come back and feel refreshed and ready to kick 2023 into gear!
First off, I am going all in with my YouTube channel. There will be long-form, shorts, and lots of live streams. The channel will evolve because I don’t want to stick to one niche or topic, and I want to find out what I enjoy doing more and engage with feedback.
There will be tech, home improvements, gaming, reactions, and, most importantly, hanging out and chilling together! Please click the link and subscribe, and I hope to see you in the comments and chat. (Or you can be a silent supporter. I don’t mind 😀).
Interestingly, there are studies on how around 90% of supporters are what are generally called “lurkers”. They are the roots and trunk of our community (or branches). You can read more in this article, “The 90-9-1 Rule for Participation Inequality in Social Media and Online Communities”.
Goals for 2023
I haven’t spoken about my goals; I want to go all in on YouTube. You will be the first to see what I hope to get out of this year.
100 YT subs (ideally by the end of this month, but I’m cutting it close!)
1,000 YT subs (by the end of the year)
Clear my debts (this has gone down a lot over the years, so I’m optimistic)
Go abroad (I have never gone abroad)
Release 1 YT video a week
Reach a 200kg deadlift (I have been stuck at 155kg for too long)
Finish the Dragon Ball Z series on Crunchy Roll
What are your goals for this year? Is there anything you’re looking forward to?
